"Insha Ka Intezar"
The play "Insha Ka Intezar" was held on 31st October, 1st & 2nd November 2008 at the Arts Council Theatre.
Based on Samuel Beckket’s “Waiting for Godot”, this play belongs to the Theatre of the Absurd genre. It is one of the most significant plays of contemporary times and has been performed in almost all the countries of the world, adapted to different languages and situations.
It seems so appropriate a time for the play to be staged now when the whole country is in a state of WAITING. Waiting for something to happen, for something to change and as we say Inshaallah things will improve so both Zulekha, played by Sheema Kermani and Karmo, played by Salim Meraj, wait for Insha to arrive!
